Arneis, Bliss - 2024

"I love you; I love you; I looove you... that's all I want to say," 

I sing this song to my 13.5-year-old Golden Retriever, Bliss, often. I sing this song because it's one of my favorites and it has always soothed her. Now with her hips and selective hearing, it soothes me to soothe her.

The story of Bliss is that only in her mature age has she begun behaving like the traditional Golden Retriever: like Velcro, friendly and cuddly, all done with Grace. I watch her and can't help but think what she has taught me and how the two of us are similar.

She continues to look forward to her walks, she now stops and acknowledges people, she moves with grace, even when it's a challenge to do so. She watches with a sense of yesteryear's admiration.

Like Bliss, My Arneis arrives with Grace. The mouth feel is full and soothing, its crispness expected with its well-balanced acidity. Asian pear and grapefruit notes rule.
